Resonance, Transmitted.
Founded in October 2025, dze.labs is a sonic research studio based in Hong Kong and Shenzhen, China.
Its manifesto, “Resonance, Transmitted.”, describes not only the physical movement of sound, but also our belief that every vibration carries meaning — waiting to be perceived, recorded, and shared. Through technology and creative practice, dze.labs aims to make subtle sonic experiences tangible and allow resonance to continue travelling.
dze.labs was co-founded by Zen Lu, Luo Jian, and Wang Lingyuan, bringing together three distinct fields: sound art and electronic music, audio engineering, and interdisciplinary design. Their combined expertise allows dze.labs to explore sound through three interconnected dimensions: auditory perception, technological innovation, and cultural expression.
We research, develop, and create professional acoustic instruments, while exploring the broader possibilities of listening. For us, “labs” represents an ongoing attitude of experimentation — questioning, discovering, and connecting sound art, audio technology, product design, and acoustic research.
Through sound research, acoustic instruments, and creative collaboration, dze.labs seeks to build connections between creators, researchers, and anyone willing to listen more deeply to the world around them.

Beyond acoustic instruments, dze.labs develops an ecosystem for listening, research, and sonic creation.
Through initiatives including Guānyīn Project, Sound Map, and dze.label, we connect soundscape research, field recording, artistic collaboration, and sonic publishing — transforming individual listening experiences into shared sonic memories.
Together, these initiatives explore how sound can be captured, preserved, and transmitted across time and space.
